Book Review: Room by Emma Donoghue

Room by Emma Donoghue. I have read many books and watched movies about kidnapping, but I gave little thought about what life is like to live as an abductee, let alone to raise a child as an abductee. That was until I read Room by Emma Donoghue. This is a story about Jack, is five years old, having never left this one room, where and his mother are held captive. The book looks at how Jack is raised as “normal” though in prison, and the revelation of what is outside the room. It is an award winning book and the honors it has gained are well worth it.
